We finished our Animal unit and decided to have some fun! We pretended that during Spring Break we went on a trip to outer space. We boarded our "rocket ships," blasted off, and landed on a VERY different planet with VERY weird habitats. Each group was assigned a particular habitat. Then they had to come up with a NEW animal that they may have found in that habitat. They needed to make sure that the animal had appropriate adaptations in order for it to survive in that habitat. They also had to explain WHY they chose those adaptations. Here are pictures of their weird habitats and new animals.
