A couple of weeks ago, we got to bring our stuffed animals in to read to them. At the beginning of the year, Mrs. Pfeiffer let us brainstorm on ideas for rewards and vote on the ones that we want to earn. One of them was called "Read to a Stuffed Buddy." So, all we had to do is earn enough Class Dojo points as a class, and we did!

Happy Halloween!
Last Friday, October 27, we had our annual Halloween Parade and party. We had a lot of fun dressing up in our costumes.
After the parade, we went back to our room and played games. Mrs. Wenninger, Ms. Sharp, Mrs. Habern, and Mrs. Laukhuf let us play "Pass the Pumpkin."
Our last game was "Eyeball Toss."
Then, it was SNACK TIME! I don't think there was any worry about us going hungry today! Thanks to everyone who helped and/or brought snacks for our party! :)
Mrs. Habern got caught dancing behind Boston! LOL!!!!! :)

The Pillowcase Project
On October 12, Derek, Tierra, and Jackson from the American Red Cross and the OSU Lima Campus came to our room to talk to us about the "Pillowcase Project." This is an AMAZING program that teaches kids about the importance of being prepared in case of an emergency such as a tornado or fire by using the three steps, "Learn, Practice, and Share." We received a "My Preparedness Workbook," a personalized pillowcase with suggested items to include in case of emergency. We also received a pledge certificate. FREEBIE ALERT!!!! If you contact the American Red Cross, they will come out to your house and install FREE smoke alarms for FREE!!!!!! AWESOME!!!!
Here are our pillowcases after we decorated them. We even got to keep a fabric marker to decorate them more at home. :)
