Similes & Metaphors Self-Portraits

We have been learning about different types of figurative language such as similes and metaphors.  Both similes and metaphors compare two things; however, similes use the words 'like' or 'as.'
(Ex: Her eyes were as blue as the ocean.)  Metaphors do not use 'like' or 'as.' (Ex: Her eyes were the ocean.)

So, we decided to describe our own eyes, hair, noses, cheeks, and mouths.  Then, we drew and colored a self-portrait based on our similes and metaphors.  They look just like us!  Don't you think? ;)
