We Are Travel Agents!

In Social Studies, we learned about the 5 different regions of the U.S. In Reading and Language, we have been learning about persuasive language. We decided to tie them all together in a project called "Travel Agent." We researched facts about our region and created a persuasive poster in order to get our "audience" to visit our region. Below are pictures of our projects. We hope you like them!:)

WELCOME TO OUR NEW BLOG!

Welcome to our new blog!   Sorry it took so long to get it up and running, but we will try to get you all caught up with what we have been doing.  We have been VERY busy 3rd graders!

First of all, here is our class picture.

In August and September, we were studying fractured fairy tales in Reading.  Some of the stories were "The Three Little Wolves and the Big Bad Pig," "The Three Little Javelinas," and "The Three Little Hawaiian Pigs and the Magic Shark."  Those were all based on, you guessed it, "The Three Little Pigs."  So then, we read SEVERAL more fractured fairy tales because they were SO MUCH FUN TO READ!!!!!!  :)

Anyway, that lead us to write our OWN fractured fairy tales based on either "Goldielocks and the Three Bears," "Red Riding Hood," or "The Three Little Pigs."

We also got to act out a fractured fairy tale.  Below are videos of our presentations of "Slurping Beauty" based on "Sleeping Beauty" and "The Popsicle Boy" based on "The Gingerbread Man."
