"Christmas Around the World"

This week, we are finishing up our "Christmas Around the World" Google Slides projects.  During Thanksgiving Break, we were able to bring our gingerbread people 'to life' by coloring them and dressing them up like our country's traditional dress.  We hope you enjoy looking at our gingerbread people and reading why each of us would like to go to our chosen country during Christmas time.  Merry Christmas!  :)

Happy Halloween!

Last Friday, we had our annual Halloween Parade and Party.  Things were a little bit different because of Covid policies, but we were just glad that we got to celebrate Halloween and have some fun. :)

Raider Pride Party

Last Thursday, we had our first "Raider Pride" Party of the year.  This is for any third grader who has worked really hard, put lots of effort into his/her work, cooperated with others, showed respect, etc.  We got to play lots of different games and puzzles.

3A Earned their First "Extra Recess" of the Year!

One of our rewards that we can earn in Mrs. Pfeiffer's class is an "Extra Recess."  As a class, we can earn this by making sure each one of us show responsibility by turning in our homework completed and on time.  Whenever we ALL do this for one day in each subject, we earn one "Extra Recess" point.  When we reach ten points, we get our "Extra Recess!"  Come on, who doesn't LOVE recess? :)

Haunted House Arrays

Today we learned how arrays can help us with our multiplication by representing those facts using rows and columns.  We also reviewed which ones were rows (side to side) and which were columns (up and down).  For fun, we made 'Haunted House Arrays.'  We hope you like them! :)

"Visions of Paulding County" Search

As we are learning about Paulding County History, Mrs. Pfeiffer brought out her copies of "Visions of Paulding County" from The Historical Archives of the Paulding County Progress.  We found lots of pictures and information about the canals, how the Black Swamp was drained, the names and mascots of all of the old schools in our area, the names of the 'ghost towns,' etc.  It was also really neat to see how buildings/schools/towns looked 'back then' versus how they look now and to compare/contrast what kinds of businesses Paulding County had 'back then' versus now.

After reviewing, we got to play "Halloween Bump: Addition- Roll 2 and Add 7 More."  It was a lot of fun practicing our Math facts while trying to "BUMP" our buddies counter off the number.  :)
