Welcome to our Figurative Language Fair!

This month, we have been focusing on various types of figurative language such as alliteration, idioms, personification, metaphors, similes, and hyperboles. Below are just a few examples of our work:

SYMMETRY & ME!

In Geometry, we reviewed what "symmetry" and "lines of symmetry" meant. Then we found several lines of symmetry on various shapes. However, we took it just a bit farther by taking our own pictures, cutting them along the line of symmetry, and drawing the missing part. Below are our masterpieces. :)

New Species of Animal

In Science, we wrapped up our Life Science unit by creating a "new species." Each student chose either a cave or mountain habitat. Then, he/she decided on the best traits for survival that his/her animal should have. Below are a few examples of their work:
