Christmas Party

For our Christmas party, we played a game called “Switch, Steal, Unwrap” to find out which gifts we would get for our gift exchange.

Then we got to create our own Christmas ornaments.

Next, we played Christmas Bingo, ate LOTS of yummy treats, and finished the festivities with a game of Christmas Charades. Thank you to the parents who helped with the actual party and to those who brought in treats! Merry Christmas!

Christmas Multiply Review Game

Last week, we played the “Christmas Multiply” game as a way to review the multiplication facts we have learned so far. Once we found two factors and their product, we crossed them out. We kept playing until there were no more combinations. The goal was to leave the least amount boxes uncovered.

WT Spanish Club Visit

Today the WT Spanish Club came over and read their Christmas books that they wrote in Spanish to us. This was perfect since a lot of our “Christmas Around the World” countries are Spanish-speaking.

Christmas Around the World

A few weeks ago, each of us was given an opportunity to pick a country that we wanted to learn more about for our “Christmas Around the World” project.

After we researched our countries’ Christmas traditions (with the help from our families), we started working on our Google slides presentations which we will be presenting the last week before Christmas break.

Below is a picture of all of our gingerbread people dressed in our countries’ traditional style.

Merry Christmas, everyone!:)

Using Music to Learn Our Multiplication Facts

We just started learning our multiplication facts last week.  There are so many strategies that we use.  However, one of our most favorite strategies is listening to Mr. R’s Math Songs (see right sidebar).  Below are videos of us singing with the x2 and x3 songs.
